HEART FAILURE IN PRAYER

The Lord hears the voice of your mouth but acts on the thoughts of your heart. Many of our prayers produce no results because of a heart problem.

The heart and mouth connection is very essential in prayer. Most of the time, our prayers have become a religious act more than anything else. We gyrate, gesticulate, shout or even mumble intelligently to the admiration of onlookers.

We impress onlookers on the outside, but on the inside, there is tumult everywhere–an internal scream that is the opposite of what we are saying to the listening bystanders. This I call the “HEART TO MOUTH CONFLICT.” What our heart is saying is not matching up with what is coming out of our mouth. We say what we are saying so as to align with the tagline: “You shall have what you say.”

But you have to first believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord over the issue and that confession/profession will lead to salvation (or results). Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV) says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Many “believers” have a heart and mouth conflict in prayer. This kind of prayer delivers no results and leads to frustration.
God is easy to find, but only when all of our heart is involved and unbelief is eliminated. The reason why you are having contrary results to what you are saying is because Jesus hears the voice of your mouth but acts on the instructions of your heart. Your mouth may be saying one thing, but your heart is indicating unbelief.

As you approach God in prayer in the coming days, align your thoughts with your mouth. Lay down all your cares and burdens at Jesus’ feet.

Let your heart align with your mouth in prayer and watch how quickly your prayers are answered. Have a glorious weekend. #prayerthatgetsresults #effectualprayer
