Lamentations 3:37 (NLT) – “Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission?”
If God has done it, no man can undo it. I love Matthew 10:29 where the scriptures say (paraphrased) that even the sparrows, as low valued as they are, will not be killed (in the course of flying in the air) by anyone without God’s express permission. How then do you think that God will allow His agenda for your life to be truncated by any man or woman?
When we receive a blessing that we claim is from God, then we should rest assured that the blessing will be preserved. If God truly gave it, why do we still fret that the Lord’s plan for our lives will be derailed by evil doers, as if by our own power it was accomplished in the first place?
Most times, when we are scared that what God has done in our life will be thwarted by humans, it is for two reasons:
1) We never really ascribed the glory of the doing to the Lord, but gave it to ourselves instead.
2) We are clueless about the capacity or personality of the doer. And so now that the natural challenges which are attracted by our new levels of attainment have come, and our finite wisdom cannot meet the challenge, we have become apprehensive. If we truly believe that whatsoever God doeth is forever, then we will stay rested.
At the same token, anything God has not yet allowed in your life will remain undone until He permits. You can try and force it all you like, but it will only lead to frustration. If you get it by fraudulent/wicked means through the father of all lies, you will pay a heavy price for it.
We must learn to inherit our promises through faith and patience and must also come to the full assurance and knowledge that if the Lord ever gives, He does not change His mind. I wish you a restful week.Ecclesiastes 3:14 (NLT) – “And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him.”
