The Spirit of God gave me a new perspective on prayer for the country and her people while my family and I were studying the Bible and praying on February 8, 2020. There was a shift in my prayer content, and I began to sob.
As the following utterances and prayers flooded my heart, I heard the voice of the Lord in my spirit saying, “[I]n the multitude [My] mercy,” (Psalms 69:13) and I began to cry the same. I have written each prayer down and have since added to them. They are not the normal prayers we are used to praying, but this is what God wanted me to pray.
We have condemned each other for a long time and have played a self-righteous game that God is not interested in. It is time to uphold the inhabitants of the land and see genuine love and compassion take over in our prayer closets. I highlighted my prayers for those who care to join me, and you can add to it with biblical references.
Psalms 69:13 – “But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.”
